Fromage A Trois
Well for reasons I won't bore you with, this last week has been an absolute 'Baiseur', but anyway on the good side my first week at work for 6 months has gone without a hitch, and I have moved in to a flat rather than a Hostel, having been driven insane by telling someone else my travelling history every day, sitting through the I'm going home because I have no money/miss my boy/girl Friend/Visa has expired/dog died stories ad nausiem.
Those of you who have kept up to date with my ranting will by now have realised that Tahiti wasn't my favorite destination, and that Francophile is not a word you would associate with me. So you may be surprised to note that My new Faltmates are a Tahitian Girl - Helene and a French Guy - Gaetan!
Gaetan - My French roomie is an IT student so I offer to help him with his homework sometimes, but all I really do is look at it, inhale through my teeth sharply, shake my head slowly and pass it back to him whilst whistling for effect. He thinks I am refusing to help, but I am actually teaching him one of the most important responses he will need for a career in IT.
Next lesson will be how to annoy people with the question - "What problem exactly are you trying to solve here?" and The way to field every question beginning with a 'Can we?' or "Is it possible to?" with a Vague "Hmmm.......It Depends"
I am living in a lovely apartment in Pyrmont, about 15 minutes walk from the CBD in Sydney and have a Pool, Gym and Spa and free internet. I have been swiming in the pool nearly every day, but admittedly the Gym has yet to be fully utilised by the Pinkster.....one step at a time eh?
Peut-être ce soir?.......................Il Dépend....
