French? Polynesia (Ahh Hee Haaughy Hee Haaughy Haaaw)
Well hello again guys, I am now in the town of Papette in Tahiti, The last 24 hours have been prety hectic, including sleeping on an airport floor, because the cash point would not give me any money, because …. get this, they only accept ‘French’ Cirrus, not Cirrus, as accepted by the rest of the world!
Arrived at 11pm and had to wait for ‘Le Banque’ (yeah no one told me they all speak bloody French here) to open at 8 this morning before I could talk someone in to drawing money from my credit card! I now had money, but unfortunately not a clue in terms of where I was going, I kind of planned not to have a plan at this stage in the journey, purely to give me something interesting to write about (see what I do for you guys!) So a ride on ‘Le Truck’ later, and 5 mile walk with about 35Kilos of stuff in searing heat, and I found a Hostel. Remember where Leonardo Di Caprio Stayed in the Beach? – Well that is about the state of my hostel, and of course for 2000 comedy Francs that’s frankly a rip off.
Still tommorow I will sail For Moroa, and stay at the famous Chez Nelson, where all the cool backpackers hang out, I will probably change my flights through to Aus, because it’s dear here, and lets face it I’m not a beach person, allthough I have invested in a rather fetching Hawaian Shirt and you would never know!!!
All I need to do now is decide which polynesian tatoo I want and bingo!
